The film 'Whip It' (2009) is Drew Barrymore’s directing debut, this link provides a small synopsis, reviews, rating and box office ratings which are all relevant to my research. I can use all or certain information from this site to aid my investigation into the development of Drew Barrymore, not only as an actress but as well as an up and coming film director. Especially as this movie is my focus film, which requires more in depth analysis.
The fact that she also starred in her debut film could link to star theory as she has used her own reputation and image to cause more of a buzz around the film, as well as attracting cult fans creating a bigger interest and higher box office ratings.
